Tera Yano, LMHC LPC
Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here. Finding the right therapist is a big step, and I want you to know that in my practice you’ll be met with warmth, respect, and curiosity about your unique story.
I am a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) with over 10 years of experience helping couples, families, parents and children, and siblings navigate the challenges and joys of relationships. I believe that healing and growth happen in connection, and I work to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.
As a queer person in a blended family and a mother of BIPOC children, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. My life has taught me the importance of inclusivity, compassion, and honoring each person’s identity and relationships.
Outside the office, I love hiking through the forests of British Columbia with my partner and our Australian Labradoodle, Nalu. She often joins me as a co-therapist, offering her own kind of gentle presence and playfulness to sessions.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that every relationship holds the potential for healing and transformation, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients in that process.
Licensed in WA and OR.
